Tshwane University of Technology, TUT Online Application for admission to the 2027-2028 academic is set to open from 1 April – 30 September 2026 for all programmes. Therefore, everyone wanting to start a new qualification (Undergraduate & Postgraduate programmes) to study at TUT for 2027 must do well and apply for admission within the prescribed period of application. TUT will not accept any late application for the 2027 intake so apply on time to avoid embarrassment.
TUT Online Application fee for 2027 is R240. Pay this fee before the closing date of application and submit proof of payment when completing the online application form. This application fee is non-refundable even if you decide not to study at TUT or do not meet TUT admission requirements for your chosen qualification and it is compulsory for all first-time applicants and is payable once only.
Please Note of the Following Before Submitting Application
- You must have all the required documentation at hand before going online.
- Create an email address before hand, do not use any other person’s email address.
- Your password must meet the following require- ments: at least six to 12 characters long – containing a mix of numbers, letters, one special character and one uppercase letter.
- First-year/undergraduate TUT applications for the 2027 academic year open on 1 April 2026.
- The application deadlines are listed under each programme in this brochure.
- Please apply as soon as possible because a programme may close any time when it is full, even if the deadline has not yet passed.
TUT Required Documents for 2027 Applications
- Certified copy of your Identity Document/Card
- Certified copy of your National Senior Certificate, or Final Grade 11 results if you are currently in Grade 12
- Proof of payment – The application fee must be deposited at ABSA, Account Number: 04 000 000 3. Use your Identity Number as the reference.

How to Apply Online at TUT 2027: Online Application Form
TUT online application process for the 2027 academic year is very simple, easy and accurate. When applying online, you will be prompted to make changes to any incorrect details helping you to stay on track of the application process.
Follow the steps below to submit TUT online application form 2027
- Go to TUT website: www.tut.ac.za
- At the top menu of the page, click Apply Now link
- Please select most relevant answers to the questions
- Create a New Profile with your email address if you don’t have
- Fill out the spaces with your personal details and Click on Sign Up
- Complete the online application form with all the necessary details
- Upload all the required documents. Make sure they are certified copies.
- Pay the online application fee of R240 and attached to the uploaded documents
- Submit your application for evaluation. This may take some days so be patient.
You will receive a notification from TUT about the progress of your application. You will then be asked to check your application status for admission.

To check TUT application status for 2027, follow the steps below
- Visit www.tut.ac.za
- Click on “Study@TUT.”
- Select “Check Your Status.”
- Enter your ID number in the required field.
- Click “Submit” to view your admission status
Meanings of the Application Statuses
You will see the following on your screen after check the status of your application and what they mean
- Submitted: Your application has been received by TUT.
- Approved: TUT has granted you admission and you need to register for your programme
- Rejected: Unfortunately, your application was not successful.
- Pending: TUT is still processing your application so be patient.
