Can I Use GEPF To Buy A House?

Owning a home is one of the most significant financial investments you can make, providing your family with dignity, security, and comfort. To support this goal, the Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF) has partnered with SA Home Loans to help more members achieve their dreams of homeownership. They have adjusted the qualification criteria for home loans, ensuring that approved loans are affordable.

GEPF members can take advantage of two exclusive home loan packages. The Mortgage Loan allows financing of up to 100% of a new home or the option to switch an existing bond.

The Housing Access Loan enables the purchase, construction, or improvement of a home on communal or family land, which typically cannot be bonded. These initiatives are designed to make homeownership more accessible for GEPF members and help them secure a better future for their families.

The following supporting documents are needed from the applicants who are applying for the home loan;
