The Central Johannesburg TVET College (CJC) Online Application for 2026-2027 is open to all prospective applicants willing to study and cultivate an environment where young students can come together and learn in a creative and flexible environment at the institution in South Africa.
YOU ARE CONSIDERED AS A NEW STUDENT AT CJC IF:
- You are applying for the first time at Central Johannesburg TVET College
- You were not enrolled for any course at Central Johannesburg TVET College before
- You did not have a CJC Student Number at any previous year.
Required Documents For Central Johannesburg College Online Application 2026-2027
During the application process you will be requested to upload copies of the following documents:
- Proof of Residence
- A certified copy of your ID
- A certified copy of your latest academic results
- Provide Medical proof of your condition if you have a disability
Foreign students
- Certified copies of passport
- SAQA approved foreign qualification
- Proof of medical insurance or cover
- Valid study permit
2026 Application Dates for CJC (Estimated)
CJC follows the standard DHET calendar.
Engineering Studies (Trimester)
- Trimester 2 Intake:
- Application Window: Approx. April 2026.
- Classes Start: May 2026.
- Trimester 3 Intake:
- Application Window: Approx. August 2026.
Business Studies (Semester)
- Semester 2 Intake:
- Application Window: April – May 2026.
- Classes Start: July 2026.
NCV (National Certificate Vocational)
- Intake: NCV is a year-long course (Grade 10-12 equivalent). Applications for 2026 generally closed in November 2025. Late applications are rare unless there are dropouts.
3. The Application Process (Step-by-Step)
CJC uses the Coltech / iEnabler system.
Step 1: The Compulsory Placement Test
CJC will not let you apply without this.
- Go to the CJC website: https://cjc.edu.za
- Click on “Placement Screening” or “Career Guidance”.
- You will be redirected to a profiling site. Answer the questions about your marks and interests.
- Save the Proof: The system links this result to your ID number.
- Tip: Be honest. If you fail the Numeracy section, the system will recommend you don’t do Engineering.
Step 2: The iEnabler Portal
- Go to the application URL: https://ienabler.cjc.edu.za/pls/prodi41/w99pkg.mi_login
- New Students: Select “New Application”.
- Returning Students: Log in with your Student Number and Pin.
- Create Profile: Enter your ID, Email, and Phone Number.
- Pin: You will receive a 5-digit PIN via SMS. Do not share this.
Step 3: Submit the Application
- Log in.
- Click “Submit Application”.
- Select Year: 2026.
- Select Period: Semester 2 (Business) or Trimester 2 (Engineering).
- Select Campus: (Refer to the table in Section 1).
- Select Course: e.g., “National Certificate: Electrical Engineering N4”.
4. Entry Requirements (Strict)
For NATED Engineering (N4-N6):
- Requirement: Matric (NSC) with Pure Maths and Physical Science.
- Math Literacy: Usually REJECTED for Heavy Current Electrical.
- Why? N4 Maths is calculus-heavy. If you struggled with Matric Maths, you will fail N4.
- Alternative: If you have N3 with Maths, you can apply.
For NATED Business (N4-N6):
- Requirement: Matric (NSC) Pass.
- Specifics: For Financial Management, you typically need Accounting or Maths in Matric.
For Art & Design / Music:
- Portfolio: Smit Street campus often requires a Portfolio of Work or an Audition before final acceptance.
