How To Check Your Balance

The Government Employee Pension Fund now has a self-service portal where members can access whatever they need. All that is required of a member is to get his or her valid ID number or password. The portal and the app have made it better for performances. Below are the steps to check your balance.

Visit the GEPF self-service portal
Log in with your ID number and password
If you have forgotten your password press on forgotten password and enter your details
A link will be sent to you to reset your password
Once you log in you can view your benefit statement and complete all other tasks required

Kinds Of GEPF Benefits

Below are the types of benefits you get as a member of GEPF

Normal Retirement

For GEPf members, the retiring age is 60 years. The benefits you will get depend on how long you’ve worked for and contributed to the fund. If you have worked less than ten years you will be eligible for a one-time payment based on the value of your contribution.

Early Retirement

In some cases, you can retire before the actual retiring age. The benefit you will get still depends on how long you have worked for. If you work for ten years or more you will be qualified for a lump sum payment or monthly pension just like the normal retirement.

ill-Health and Other Retirement

If you retire due to injury suffered at work or health issues you will get enhanced benefits. If you have worked for more than ten years you will be eligible for both lump sum and monthly pension and an extra yearly payment
